The Cronton Pathways Project has a major interest in the upkeep of our local environment with it's 360 degrees of greenbelt surrounding Cronton Village.
To that end we organise 2 annual "Clean Up Days" one normally in March as a "Spring Clean" event and another in November as an end of year clean up and these events are fully supported by Knowsley Council.

Throughout the year Cronton Pathways Project remains environmentally vigilant and reports incidents.

Village Litter Pick Up - 2021

The next Village Litter Pick Up is scheduled for Friday 4th June 2021.

The pick up will start from the Holy Family car park at 10am.

Covid-19 restrictions will be adhered to. Please contact Councillor David Rostance for further details.

Spring Clean-Up

22nd March 2019

We arranged this clean-up to coincide with the national Keep Britain Tidy campaign this month. 21 bags of litter were collected on the day and several more were collected on 2nd April by children from Cronton CE School with one of our team. The litter is lessening but it is still necessary to arrange two litter picks a year to keep on top of it.

We are grateful to Knowsley MBC Neighbourhood Team for their prompt collection of the bags of rubbish and for the swift response when fly-tipping is reported.
Thanks to all the loyal volunteers who turned up to help.

Autumn Clean-Up

16th November 2018

Five volunteers cleared litter on Friday 16th November and two others did a stint at other times. Between us we collected 26 bags of rubbish, which were cleared by Knowsley MBC. Thanks to all involved.

All the main roads in the area looked very smart afterwards, but sadly this didn't last. Within a week there were at least 50 pieces of litter along Cronton Road and Queensbury Way. It seems cars don't have room for taking litter home these days.
